New AdE-AgID requirements for the European eInvoicing

The Italian Tax Agency (AdE), as owner of the Interchange system (SDI), has recently published an updated version (2.0) of the so-called Technical Rules concerning the eInvoices conformant to the European Standard to be used in public contracts.

The Italian Tax Agency (AdE), as owner of the Interchange system (SDI), has recently published an updated version (2.0) of the so-called Technical Rules concerning the eInvoices conformant to the European Standard to be used in public contracts. That new version will come in force on July 1st and can be downloaded from the web site of AgID (Agenzia per l’Italia Digitale) at the link https://www.agid.gov.it/it/agenzia/stampa-e-comunicazione/notizie/2021/06/04/regole-tecniche-relative-gestione-fatture-europee.

The Technical Rules update introduces the elements to manage, according to the European standard, some peculiar information of the Italian fiscal context, such as: split payment, stamp duty, withholding tax, pension fund. SATA already manages eInvoicing flows issued in UBL format (equivalent to Peppol 3.0) and received in the UBL and CII formats. The service is provided to Italian and foreign public and private entities.

The issuer can send invoices in their native format as well as in PDF or XML-SDI format or in a custom format, or even by entering them by means of a web form. In all those cases SATA applies the Technical Rules currently in force, hence it assures by the end of June the application of the new Rules. In turn, the receiver can as for the translation into the XML-SDI format of the received invoices, or in its custom format, being sure that even in this case the current Technical Rules are applied.
